The founder of nihongo.is is Mami Nagai, who taught Japanese language (and ocasionally, cultural) courses at the University of Iceland for 11 years.
She left the facility, yet her passion for teaching Japanese is not decreased. Currently Mami teaches two Japanese courses at Mímir educational institution.
Nihongo.is was started for helping Japanese language learner in Iceland, but also all over the world.
Now nihongo.is only sells the helping materials in PDF form, but Mami has new project ideas related to the Japanese language and teaching.
She is fascinating to expand her possibility as a Japanese teacher.
Mami is also planning to teach Japanese in person again (private teaching, classes in Language school or any facilities etc.).
The private lesson reservation site will be open soon, but until then, please register for the course at Mímir if you are interested learning Japanese as face-to-face lesson.
